That play by Curl against the Cardinals where he just destroys two blockers might be my favorite piece of tape from the entire season. As always, this was a great read, Mark. I can't imagine a scenario where Curl isn't on the field for every snap but we'll see.
Sometimes you have those late round picks who surprise but you look back and they weren't as good as you thought they were. Then there is Kam Curl who actually looks even more impressive the more tape you see.
Sorry for the late reply to this. I don’t think Curl will miss many snaps either. Maybe he’ll get a few snaps off as a break, but I think he’ll see plenty of the field, for sure.
To the Twitter question about other such position breakdowns, I'd propose a look at how the Turner offense makes use of X WR, Z WR, TE, or FB (if applicable), or how the offense uses RBs in the passing game.
Apologies for missing this previously. I’ve noted down your suggestion, I quite like the idea, but might work it into another idea or two I had. I’ll try to cover some of that stuff in the coming weeks! Hopefully some of the RBs in the passing game was covered in my Gibson piece today!
I like the education that these columns give me. Thanks, Pat Bell
Thanks for the kind words Pat! I’m glad you enjoyed and got something out of this piece.
