He is an absolute stud. But 19 million a year which he may command when we have already have X on the roster seems to be luxury not a necessity. I agree they need to find something a little more affordable. They have a few other holes that need filled one being a solid MLB.
I don't think they'd be against spending significant money at the receiver spot, but I think they might want someone that fits the Z receiver spot a little more naturally and can stretch the field a little more than Robinson does. But Robinson and McLaurin are both really good, so I'm sure they could make it work if this was a path they pursued.
The question is, will he perform regardless of who is under center? Our QB play was so lackluster this year. I feel if they stick with that same trio we would be in for another underwhelming year.
He performed consistently under similar situations in both Jacksonville and Chicago. I think he'd be unlikely to want to sign in Washington without assurances the team can add a proven quarterback like a Stafford or Watson, given how many average to poor quarterback's he's played with throughout his career so far.
