Initial observations from Washington’s loss to the Chiefs
Some initial thoughts and observations as Washington falls to 2-6.
We all expected Washington to lose to the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend and we all expected it to be bad, yet somehow Washington found a way to lose in disappointing fashion. Washington led 13-10 at half time and proceeded to allow 21 unanswered points in the second half as the Chiefs ended up winning comfortably 31-13. Here’s some initial thoughts from the game.
Offense Missed Chances
Washington had an opportunity in the first half to really challenge the Chiefs in this game. The Chiefs gifted Washington 3 turnovers in the first half, two of which were in the red zone. Washington managed just seven points off those three turnovers. Against a team led by Patrick Mahomes, those opportunities don’t come up too often. The Chiefs were completely out of sorts in the first half and Washington failed to make them pay for it.
