Commanders vs Lions game thread

It’s game day! I’ll be honest, I’m not holding out a lot of hope for this one so I wouldn’t blame any of you for skipping it. I think the Lions should win pretty comfortably and the Commanders will probably be happy if they don’t just get completely blown out. But it is the NFL and you never know what can happen.

The main thing I’ll be looking for from the Commanders today is if we see a youth movement or not. Will Jordan Magee get some reps as the Mike linebacker over Bobby Wagner? Will Johnny Newton get some more snaps as a starter over Daron Payne? Will Ben Sinnott get more receiving opportunities instead of Zach Ertz? Will Kain Medrano get to see the field on defense? (No, he’s inactive…) It’s time to see what some of these guys can do in an expanded role and see if they are building blocks for the future.

Outside of that, I’m hoping to see Kingsbury commit more to the run game and maybe return to that jumbo package they used when Marcus Mariota started against the Raiders and Fal…
