For the third time this season, it’s a Commanders vs Eagles game thread! This time though, it means a hell of a lot more. The two NFC East rivals are battling it out for the NFC Championship and a trip to the Super Bowl. It’s still hard to believe the Commanders have got this far, but here we are and now it means just that bit extra because they’re playing Philly.

The headline here is Daron Payne. The Commanders ruled him out yesterday with a finger and knee injury. Against a team like the Eagles and the run game they have, losing their best run defender in Payne is a big loss. Payne has been key to any run game success they’ve had this season, being able to line up at nose tackle, three technique and even some defensive end and still be very stout.
