Taking a look at how free agency could play out for the Washington Commanders
We are just a few days away from NFL free agency getting underway, so I thought I’d have some fun putting together a mock free agency as a preview for what could happen next week. I’m breaking down re-signing the teams own free agents, who could get cut and then some potential free agent targets at various positions of need. There’s a lot to get through, so let’s jump into it.
Re-signings - Bobby Wagner, LB; Zach Ertz, TE; Marcus Mariota, QB; Noah Brown, WR; Olamide Zaccheaus, WR; Noah Igbinoghene, CB; Cornelius Lucas, OT; Zane Gonzalez, K; Austin Seibert, K; Tress Way, P; Nick Bellore LB.
The first thing we have to consider when looking at free agency are the Commanders own free agents. The Commanders have nearly 30 free agents from their roster last season, which is a huge amount. They will obviously look to re-sign plenty of those players and they will need to do that too, because that’s too many players to try and replace in one offseason.
